Agriculture in Burgundy:

The main assets of the Burgundian agriculture are viticulture, cereals and livestock Charolais. There is also a wide range of vegetables: corn, onions, green beans, tomatoes, lentils, cucumber, blackcurrant, salad and mustard.

The Agriculture in Aquitaine 

Aquitaine is the first french producing region of wines with 145 000 hectares of vines. Viticulture represents 39 % of the agriculture production of Aquitaine with 1 billion bottles of white, red and rosé wines produced per year !! Aquitaine is also the first french region for the production of tobacco, prunes, strawberries, kiwis, nuts, corn, geese, ducks for foie gras production and quails .

DISCOVER PROVENCE

AGRICULTURE IN PROVENCE

Due to the large production of wine, cereals, fruits and vegetables, in Provence it is mainly a plant agriculture. Provence is the first french producer of lavender. With 842000 animals, this is the first french region in sheep production. This is the main french region in producing organic olives, fruits, lavender and goats.

DISCOVER ALSACE

This charming region of France is nestled between the beautiful Vosges mountains in France and the borders of Germany and Switzerland. Village after village, you will be surprised by the beauty of traditionnal alsatian architecture with its half timbered houses. Alsace is a region rich of tradition and a combination of culture. You will experience gastronomy in refined traditionnal dishes and taste alsatian wines.

Agriculture in Alsace 

Even though Alsace is the smallest region in France,  agriculture occupies nearly 40% of its territory. The alsacian specialities are hops, cabbage for sauerkraut, tobacco and vine. Almost all the french hop production comes from Alsace. Vines and cereals occupy nearly 60% of the alsacian agricultural territory.

DISCOVER NORTH OF FRANCE

Explore this region full of tradition and with a rich spiritual heritage. In a few words, Picardy has scenic coasts, beautiful green valleys, and fruitful forests. In Picardy, you will taste great food. Actually people from there are not only very welcoming but also great culinary artists .

Agriculture in PICARDY 

Thanks to its climate, Picardy is the first sugar beet and peas producer in France, and the second for potatoes, wheat and  endives. Regarding milk production, Picardy is only the 10th french producer and 14th for meat.

DISCOVER AUVERGNE

Located in the very heart of France, Auvergne is a unique area with a well preserved natural environment. A land of volcanic peaks, fertile valleys and hot mineral springs. Agriculture in Auvergne 

Auvergne is the third french region regarding bovine production. Today the dairy production serves only one objective: produce the  AOP  labelled cheeses  Cantal and Saint Nectaire. The bovines are mainly used for their meat and Auvergne is the first french meat bovine producer with the breed of Charolais and Salers. The main crops in Auvergne are wheat and corn.

DISCOVER BRITTANY

The region of Britanny was made for explorers with its wild, dramatic coastlines, medieval towns and thick forests. This is also a land of prehistoric mysticism with the megaliths of Carnac, proud tradition and culinary wealth.

Explore the rugged coastlines of FINISTERE, one of the most beautiful bay in the world GOLFE DU MORBIHAN, the incredible MONT SAINT MICHEL.  One thing is certain, there’s far more to Brittany than delicious crêpes and homemade cider.

Agriculture in Britanny 

Britanny is the first french region for livestock: poultry,  porks and dairy cows. Actually  1 chicken out of 3 is produced in Britanny;  more than 65 % of  the french porks herd is breeded in the region and  this is the first dairy region in France.. Brittany is also the first french region in producing vegetables:  cauliflower, artichokes, shallots, spinach, peas, green beans and  tomatoes.
